just*a*note - TSTR120 and Card Patterns172

Happy Saturday!  How is the weather in your neck of the woods?
Chicago has been experiencing one of the warmest Summer's on record.  The heat and the humidity are unbelievable.  It is so hot and dry here that there is word that the 4th of July fireworks may be cancelled due to safety percautions. Hopefully,  that won't happen, we all look forward to that! :)

This card was created based off of this week's challenge at TSTR (soft and pretty pastels) and Card Patterns  last sketch.  So sad, to see them go!  I have always found so much inspiration from their sketchs and the DT's beautiful work.

DP's from K&Co., stamps, diecuts, twine and cardstock from PTI, paper flower
from Prima, misc. seam binding ribbon, buttons and paper doily.

Thanks for taking a peek - off to post my card.  Have a lovely evening, Cathy xx

Here comes the bride - CR84FN57 and MOJO247

Happy almost Wednesday, which means we're half way to the weekend! :)  Tomorrow, we are expected to have record temperatures of over 100 degrees! I
think this year will be the first year that my pool is actually warm enough to swim in! :)

This card was created based off of this week's color
scheme at CR84FN and Mojo's sketch.  After spending much time in bridal shops this summer with my daughter Courtney, I know that this pink is hot right now.  Of course, she opted for a beautiful peach color.  She is getting married next June, so who knows what the popular color will be then. :)

Well, off to post my card and find something to wear to work tomorrow that is weather appropriate.  Thanks for taking a peek - Cathy xx :)

Fresh Preserves - DS57

I was able to fit one more in while my Jello was firming up for a new dessert recipe I got from a friend.  I don't know the name of it - I am calling it, "Mandarin Orange Delight".  Here's the recipe for anyone who is interested:

2 pkgs Cook-n-Serve Tapioca (small)
2 pkgs Cook-n-Serve Vanilla Pudding (small)
2 pkgs Orange Jello (small)
2 cans of Mandarin Oranges (undrained)
4 cups of cold water

Add all of the above in a pot - continue to whisk and bring to a
boil.  Transfer to a large bowl and then add both cans of Mandarin Orange (undrained).  Whisk thoroughly.  Put in refrigerator overnite and the next day add two containers of Cool Whip and once again mix well.

I had this a few weeks ago at my Nephew's graduation party and my family all loved it! It's a real refreshing dessert for summer! :)

Any-hoo......this card was created based off of this week's sketch at DS.  I always visit, but have never played along - finally, I have some time and wanted to break out my new stamps I received today - Wplus9.
I love these stamps - they are just the cutest! :)

Thanks for taking a peek - off to post my card and then to bed!  Have a lovely evening! Cathy xx :)

TGIF - the start of the another weekend!  It was an absolutely beautiful summer day here, and the weather is suppose to continue thru out the weekend.  Tomorrow,  is my DH's Grandmother's 90th birthday, and we are all going to a surprise party for her.  There should be between 50-65 people attending, so I am glad the weather is suppose to be nice.

I love this sketch from SSSC161 so much,  I went ahead and made another card! :)  I am trying to use up all of my scraps from my scrap drawer - so the majority of the paper's used on this card are unknown.

decided to mix things up a bit and create 3 tags using 3 different papers each, 3 flowers, 3 buttons and 3 pearls.  Sometimes, it's nice to get away
from card making.....even if it's one project! :)
